Lizzie Ranck (L) and twin sister Erika write about their experience with Integrity. This is something that we teach in the Twirl-M's and that our students are very proud to uphold.

Integrity

When our friend, Lucy, promised to play with
us at recess and then ditched us for other friends,
we were very hurt and sad.  Lucy didn’t treat us
with honesty or the way she wanted to be treated.
That was an example of somebody NOT having integrity.

In the sport of baton twirling, we always try to act
with integrity by being honest about how many drops
we have, by being respectful to our coaches and
assistants and practicing even when we’re not told
to.  It’s the right thing to do!

In competition, we show our integrity by not
questioning the judge’s decision, by supporting
our friends who did better than us and by not
bragging when we get 1st place!

It is important to have integrity whether you are
at home with your family, at school, or even
when doing an activity.
