Frequently Asked Questions
Twirl-M's march in the annual Walled Lake Memorial Day Parade.
The Twirl-M's march in the annual South Lyon Pumpkinfest parade.

  1. How can I enroll in your program?
    • Weekly classes, camps, and clinics are generally held through the Walled Lake Community Education Department.  Contact them at 248-956-5000 for a registration form, or download the registration form by going to the Class Offerings Section of this web site.
  2. What are the age requirements for the Twirl-M's?
    • The minimum age for weekly classes is 4 years old.  Students ages 2-5 can also enroll in the Twirl-M's Toddler Twirl program.  Email Miss Rhonda at TwirlM@aol.com for Toddler Twirl enrollment information.
  3. Why must I pay a $39 class material fee to be in baton twirling?
    • The class material fee is a per family fee that helps to pay for incentives and rewards distributed throughout the session.  Each class has a special incentive program featuring weekly prizes.  Plus, year end awards are distributed at the annual December recital.
  4. Why is the annual recital in December instead of May?
    • So many of our students are also in dance and spring sports.  May is a busy time of year for everyone.  By having the recital in December, our students can better focus on their twirling and allow them time for their other activities.  Plus, the Twirl-M's participate in the annual Miss Majorette of Michigan contest in the Spring and the Memorial Day Parade in May.
