We are the Twirl-M's Baton Twirling Group from Walled Lake, Michigan. We feature a program that teaches recreation and competitive twirling programs. Students from all walks of life, and several different countries are a part of our group. The Twirl-M's features national winners, regional and state champions, as well as FIVE team champions including: 2010 NBTA Junior World Show Corps Champions, 2009 NBTA Majorette Dance Twirl Champions, 2008 NBTA Majorette Dance Twirl Champions, 2008 TU International Production Halftime Grand Champion, and the 2007 NBTA Juvenile Beginner National Dance Twirl Champions. We are the home of the Grand Valley State University Feature Twirler, the Walled Lake Northern Majorettes, Walled Lake Western Majorettes, South Lyon High Majorettes, and the Walled Lake Central Twirling Club. We are proud of our group, our students, and their great twirling.
Novice Class Student Katoe Taki sits with Miss Rhonda following the Spring Break Camp. Katoe has twirled with the group since the Fall of 2007. She performed in the group's annual recital in December and was a real star. She is preparing to return to Japan. We will all miss her. She is adorable and talented!! Miss Rhonda, the staff, and all of the Twirl-M's will miss Katoe...a blosseming twirling star. We will route for her as she continues her twirling career in Japan!!
Meet The Staff
The Twirl-M's features top instructors in the area with more than 50 years of combined twirling experience. Throughout the season, guest instructors are brought in to give students the latest twirling and strutting tricks and practice techniques. Moriah Muscaro, our most advance twirler is taught by instructors AnnNita McDonald and Candy Kimball.
Miss Rhonda, Director, Twirl-M's
Rhonda Muscaro, Director - Miss Rhonda has been teaching baton for over 25 years to students in Michigan and Ohio. Her list of students includes the 2011 Senior and Pre-Team Michigan Solo, Strut, and 3 baton Champions; the 2011 Teenage and Pre-Teen Miss Majorettes of Michigan; the 2010 Senior and Pre-Teen World Festival Queens; and the 2010 TU World Majorette. Her teams have won five national championships including two for the area's high school majorette line. Her students also have numerous Intermediate and Beginner Michigan and regional pageant titles. She is also the director of the 2010 NBTA Junior World Show Corps Champions!
Miss Rachel, Assistant Director, Twirl-M's
Rachel Gatny, Assistant Director - Miss Rachel has been teaching the Twirl-M's for nine years. She began twirling with Miss Rhonda at the age of 4 and became an advance solo twirling including a two-baton MI state champion. She specializes in motivating our young twirlers and teaching multiple baton work.
Holly Minoletti, Assistant Director - Miss Holly is in her fourth year of instructing students in the Twirl-M's. She is a former advance solo twirling and a member of a top competitive dance twirl team in MI. Her specialties include rolls and strut technique.
Valerie Gregory, Ballet & Poms Instructor - Miss Valerie is our lead ballet and dance instructor. She helps each with with legline technique, strut perfection, and corps dance and poms. A former ballet instructor in Florida, Miss Valerie brings a wealth of knowledge to the Twirl-M's.
Dori Ranck, Guest Instructor - Miss Dori has been helping the Twirl-M's for a number of years. First as a ballet coach and most recently as a guest instructor to help with struts and show twirls. A dance instructor in Rochester and a former baton twirler, Miss Dori specializes in helping students polish their performance techniques from group routines to individual work.

Moriah Muscaro - Moriah is our most advance twirler in the Twirl-M's. She has been twirling for 13 years. She is the 2011 Disney Twirl Mania Advanced 2 Baton Champion; 2011 NBTA Michigan Solo, Strut, 2 Baton, and 3 Baton Champion; the 2010 Teenage Miss TU World Majorette; the 2010 TU International 3 Baton Champion; the 2010 WTA Senior Majorette Festival Queen; a top 10 soloists, struter, 2 baton, and 3 baton in age 16; the 2010 and 2011 Teenage Miss Majorette of Michigan. Her newest role is that of the Grand Valley State University Feature Twirler. Moriah assists with class teaching and gives private lessons for the Twirl-M's.
Moriah Muscaro is the 2010 Teenage Miss Majorette of Michigan. She is also a 3-time 3 baton state champion, the 2 baton and rhythmic twirl state champion, and a WLN Majorette.
Nicole Harris is our newest Junior Instructor. She is the 2-time Junior Miss Maj of MI Royalty and the 2-time section leader for the WLW Majorettes. She is a top 10 national soloist for age 14 and a member of the Twirl-M's Team!
Nicole Dowdell is the reigning 2011 Pre-Teen Miss Majorette of Michigan and one of the Twirl-M's Junior Instructors.
Madisen Fletcher is a member of Ashland University's Color Guard. She is a junior instructor for the Twirl-M's. She won 1st runner up to the 2011 Intermediate Pageant of Michigan and the Great Lakes.
Amy is a member of the WLN Majorette. She is the Senior Intermediate Michigan Solo winner. She has recently entered into the category of Advanced Solo Twirling.
